Beneficial Waste Reuse

Aquen has played a leadership role in the beneficial reuse of almost a million tonnes of solid waste, industrial waste and contaminated water across western Canada. Our scope of services includes the design, permitting, construction, maintenance and/or operation across multiple industries. We diverted multiple waste streams for higher and better use including: spent refinery catalysts, contaminated soil, pesticide containers, solid wastes, plastics, metals, critical minerals, oily sludges and tank bottoms. Our current focus includes flyash, tire-derived aggregates and tire-derived fuel. We’re experienced with a variety of process technologies including incineration, calcining, thermal desorption, composting, chemical treatment, filtration, osmosis and soil washing.
